Jason Brucker, Managing Director, CIO Solutions - Technology, Media & Telecommunications, is a global leader of Protiviti’s Technology Service and Modern Delivery practice. He oversees Technology Consulting solutions in the Denver market and is also part of the firm’s global Technology Strategy and Architecture leadership team. With certifications in program management, agile, IT governance, IT service management, and IT audit, he has over 20 years of experience in digital, information technology, and risk consulting. His experience includes a broad range of industries and solutions, from short-term strategy, roadmap, and assessment projects, to full-scale transformation initiatives, implementation programs, and IT operations management. Jason has also helped dozens of technology organizations with their public company and IPO readiness efforts, and he has assisted multiple clients with implementation, operation, and improvement of their compliance and IT audit programs.

  • Technology strategy, governance, and operations transformation across multiple organizations and industries:
    • IT strategy and governance enablement projects with multiple organizations (and industries) to define IT vision and transformation priorities, establish decision-making responsibilities, and enable/automate IT practices and processes.
    • Design and implementation of change/release management, agile “DevOps”, service management, and control/compliance (e.g. SOX) process improvements at multiple organizations.
  • Program recovery, project risk management, and PMO transformation initiatives, including:
    • Definition and enablement of sustainable PMO operating model and program delivery capabilities for technology/IT and digital platform teams. Efforts have included adoption of traditional, hybrid, and agile methodologies across multiple industries (financial services, technology, consumer products/services, etc.).
    • Recovery of major technology programs experiencing substantial delays, missed milestones, and quality issues. Experience includes redefining the program plan, re-aligning governance, and recovery of key work streams for a global technology firm’s ERP program.
    • Operation of multiple PMOs utilizing a managed service model (Program Management as a Service: PMaaS) .
    • Multiple projects assessing pre- and post-implementation risks associated with major system implementation projects.
  • Advisory and assessment services for IT compliance and internal audit teams:
    • IT compliance and risk management strategy and operating model definition for global financial services and technology firms managing compliance across multiple regulatory and certification frameworks.
    • Over 50 co-sourced IT internal audit, risk, and compliance program management at multiple clients, including multi-year engagements with global retail, technology, and telecommunications firms.
  • Provided design, selection, execution and project management services for major system implementations, including ERP applications, ITSM solutions, enterprise GRC applications, and custom-developed systems.
  • Assisted multiple pre-public companies with “IPO readiness” activities, including capability and gap assessments of IT infrastructure and processes, definition and prioritization of improvement initiatives, and execution of capability improvement projects to address audit/compliance and IT operational performance requirements.
