One thing’s for certain: Sharon is bold. Starting as an intern, she’s now a Managing Director and Market Leader of South Florida. Her story is testament to what can be achieved at Protiviti through commitment and a clear sense of direction.

Laser Focus on Client Needs

Today, Sharon is responsible for shaping the local office culture and driving Protiviti’s go-to-market strategy. Client-facing and focusing predominantly on market growth, Sharon’s philosophy for success is to remain visible and proactive in the market—ideally spending quality time in person with her professional relationships at least four times a week.

“We are in the professional services business, and we should never apologize for that. Our work is about helping people, building strong relationships, and driving value—for our clients and for our Protiviti teams,” she elaborates.

That’s where boldness comes in. To Sharon that means asking the tough questions and working with clients to challenge existing thought processes to find the right solutions, all while maintaining a sharp focus on their strategy and how Protiviti can support their success.

“In the business development training I provide to my teams, I emphasize the importance of not being intimidated by these conversations,” says Sharon. “Key takeaway: ‘Don’t be afraid to ask questions.’”

Sharon is always thinking about how she can bring more value to her clients. “I am sincerely passionate about helping my clients and delivering 5-star client experiences for them. I won’t rest until my clients are happy. These aren’t sales pitches. They’re conversations grounded in expertise and relevance,” she explains.

Sharon keeps a pulse on what matters to her clients by scrolling daily headlines, attending local conferences and regularly sharing the insights she garners with her internal teams. She then turns the information into initiative, connecting clients to resources, hosting Lunch & Learns, training sessions, and providing value based on her clients’ earnings calls, among other things.

Aligning Passion with Purpose

On top of driving growth for Protiviti by leveraging her network, Sharon aligns passion with purpose by serving as the chairperson for the Southeast Florida American Cancer Society. Applying her bold business skills, she guides alignment of corporate partnerships with the American Cancer Society to foster connections and disseminate information on how everyone can support the fight to end cancer. These discussions also enable her to support the empowerment and well-being of her clients’ employees.

Driven From a Young Age

Being bold was something ingrained in Sharon from a young age. She recalls growing up in a household that valued having a voice, being focused, diligent and hard-working.

“My dad worked in sales and had a very gregarious and outgoing personality. My mom worked in corporate America, starting as a mailroom clerk and when she retired 40 years later, she left as a senior executive,” Sharon remembers. “Watching them persevere and succeed has impacted and influenced who I am today.”

Broadening Horizons

One of Sharon’s passion projects at Protiviti is the newly available Cultural Awareness App – designed to help Protiviti employees connect better with their colleagues around the world by highlighting key cultural nuances, communication styles and preferences.

“As the project co-lead for the Cultural Awareness App, I partnered closely with Learning and Development to raise awareness around cultural differences, helping employees navigate global projects with greater empathy and effectiveness,” Sharon explains. This, in turn, enables our employees to more easily foster connections and create better rapport to achieve the best results for our clients.
